Over the next couple of blog editions I will be discussing the Atmosphere of Heaven motif which was a prophetic word given to me that I now know is meant for the nations! The 1st part is “You are CALLED!” We have to be assured of our calling. 1st and foremost that He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light! 1 Peter 2:9 says “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light..”

We have to be assured that we are CHOSEN; chosen to be different than the world… God’s own…. Sons & daughters of the CREATOR of the Universe! The Lord told Jeremiah “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…” & the same applies to us! I believe the beginning of true worship is the realization that He loves us, that He has a special calling for ME! Then and only then can I “bow down” and surrender my will, my mind, my life to Him because I KNOW He loves me and has Called me!

….. (thank you Holy Spirit) When I was in High School I was a standout athlete. During my senior season I had college coaches who were recruiting me to come to their school and play basketball for their programs. It really felt good to be wanted! To be wanted by the King of Kings, so that he can show His Glory through…. To be recruited by the MAKER! WOW…… (thanks again Holy Spirit) I played at a couple different colleges on a FULL RIDE scholarship. So I didn’t have to pay a DIME to attend. Here it is, Jesus Himself not only paying the price for me to have eternal life (my bill says “Paid in Full”), but He bought me (1 Cor 6:20)… I love the lyrics of William McDowell’s song I Give Myself Away (hyperlink this 2 youtube).. the bridge says: “My life is not my own, To You I belong. I give myself, I give myself to You.”

Yes, you’ve been called! You’ve been captured by the great love of God! The God who will never leave you nor forsake you! Be assured of His love for you…. that He would be beaten, whipped and spat upon, ultimately being hung on a cross because of His LOVE 4 U!

I’ve heard stories of men and women who lived impoverished lives, just getting enough food and shelter to survive. When they passed away it was found out that they had a fortune that was left to them but they didn’t know. Have you ever seen those companies who will (for a fee see if you have property, money or any other belongings that are sitting somewhere unclaimed?

I believe that many of us Christians are living beneath who we really are. I’m not talking about our economic status at this time, but not recognizing that the VERY SAME POWER that raise Christ from the dead resides on the inside of us; the all powerful, all knowing Spirit of God! In “theory” most of us know this but do we really KNOW this?

We are carriers of the Presence of God, walking “Arks of the Covenant.” Proverbs 23:7 says as a man thinks in his heart so is he! We must change the way we think, seeing ourselves as He sees us; Ambassadors for Christ, Children of the Most High, Vessels with His Authority to carry out His plans….

Wherever we go… our jobs, our houses, around friends and family, we have the opportunity to “change the atmosphere” just because we are there! Change the way you think from “man, I hate going there,” to “here’s another opportunity for His Presence to enter this circumstance.” Watch your attitude change… Watch the situation change… Watch Holy Spirit work on the hearts of man because you decided to allow the very Presence of God to exude out of you!

God is trying to get things from the Heavenlies… from the spirit… to this earth realm…. Will you allow Him to change your heart.. your way of thinking… so that you can …reproduce the Atmosphere of Heaven on earth?”

I love how my daughter imitates what I do… She will say what I say and even try to say it how I said it! She even imitates her little brother… I can hear her now acting as if she were a 10 month old, saying “da-da, da-da.” My daughter is a very smart 2 year old, & when she tries to imitate her daddy (when I’m not acting like a total goofball) she seems smarter than she is & she becomes smarter. When she imitates my son, who is only 9 months, she does not seem as smart. Why am I telling you this?

We are all imitators to a certain extent. We just have to choose who we will imitate. Yes, we need mentors and need to develop ourselves using people but the ultimate example is the I AM, and that is who we are to emulate ultimately. I hear people so often (& I’ve internally said this myself) that “I’m not so bad, look @ so and so..” or “wow I cannot write/sing/play/cook/(insert what you’ve said here) at all compared to so and so…” If we compare ourselves to the One, then we will get called to a higher place, and we’ll always be striving for more because we are trying to catch the uncatchable, to be like Him. And there is never any condemnation when you are in Him, going after Him, allowing yourself to look like, talk like and act like Him!

Holy Spirit dropped this into my mind as I was contemplating writing this. The impression was simple that as we are “seated in Heavenly places” and as we “dwell in the secret place” & “abide under the shadow of the almighty” true intimacy is the result. Not only are we learning the likes and dislikes of our Creator, learning what moves Him, our intimacy PRODUCES fruit!

How much time do we spend with Him? Is He the CENTER of our lives and everything else is adjusted to Him or … do we just live life and put Him in where we can fit Him in? Let me let you in on a little secret, if you haven’t figured it out already: If you don’t MAKE time for Him you won’t find a lot of time for Him.

The more intimate we are with Him, the more His characteristics will be reproduced in and through us. Spend time…. Make time! We have to know that we are going to reproduce something.. What seeds are being planted in you the most (tv shows, movies, where you spend your time)… reproduce Him!!!!!

I’m excited to expound on the section of the AOH motif that you are… Created & Uniquely Gifted! Again, the whole motif is a prophetic word that was given to me, and I quickly realized that this Word was not just for me… It was for the Body of Christ!

You and I are created for a specific task… 1st, the Bible says that man was created in the ‘image & likeness’ of God (hyperlink to Gen 1:27)! So we look like God (image) and we can act like God (likeness)… Man, that’s a sermon in itself…. Are we willing to fully surrender to Him, dying to our fleshly desires so that we reflect His character, returning to God’s original intent? Let me come back…. Jeremiah 1 says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” We are fearfully and wonderfully made!!!!

Most of us are kool with understanding that but some of us really don’t either know or understand that we each are ‘uniquely gifted!” Most of the time we reserve the titles of ‘Gifted’ or ‘Uniquely Gifted’ to those who’s gifts and talents are on display for the world to see. Many are condemned, thinking that they don’t have anything to offer because it does not fit into something that either is on a church stage/public eye. I’m reminded of 2 people in the Bible.. 1 is where Jesus was watching as the people gave their offering (note to all, He is watching ? ) and the people gave out of their wealth… but a woman gave what was worth a fraction of a penny! Jesus pointed her out and said in Mark 12:44 “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.”
Another person I’m reminded of is Mary. She washed Jesus feet with her tears and poured a jar of oil on Him! Because she gave what she had & worshiped Jesus He said “Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of in memory of her.” He’s not asking us for something we don’t have. God is soooo big, so unfathomable, that no 1 or group of people can express all that He is. I believe each of us has a unique expression of Him deep in us. We must take our attentions off of what man deems important (even church folks) & focus onwhat’s important to Him… Us lavishly pouring what we have on Him, no matter how big or small… He wants it all (another song reference…. Thx Forever Jones) Are we willing to die to ourselves so that His light can shine, so that the Unique Gift of God in us can emanate so strong that men and women are drawn to the Creator?

You are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION! You are Called & Uniquely Gifted.. It’s time to stop living and acting beneath who you are!
